1. How is Shell Diesel different from others?

2. Who developed Shell Diesel?
The Shell Diesel formulation has been developed by Shell scientists for transport professionals and private motorists. We work closely with vehicle and equipment manufacturers to understand how fuels and engines work as an integrated system. By working together, we can seek to optimize the combustion process to reduce emissions and improve engine efficiency.

By the way, Audi Sport chose Shell as a technical partner to help develop the fuel for a diesel racecar, the Audi R10 TDI, which won the Le Mans 24 hours race in 2006

3. How can I benefit from Shell Diesel?
Shell Diesel can help transport professionals avoid rising fuel consumption, prevent increased emissions and smoke and benefit from reduced maintenance costs. Test results from heavy duty diesel engines have show the benefits of Shell Diesel versus diesel fuels without a fuel economy formula. Apart from test results from a controlled lab environment, we are also carrying out on-the-road testing with customers.

4. My fleet is currently running on a different brand of diesel, can I interchange with Shell Diesel?
Yes, if you have previously used another diesel product conforming to the Malaysian standard [MS123:1993] you can change to Shell Diesel straight away. If you have previously used a fuel other than standard diesel, please contact your Shell account manager to discuss changing to Shell Diesel.

5. How can I further improve my fleet’s fuel efficiency?
Apart from using the right fuel, having the right lubricant for your fleet can further lower your fuel bills by up to 5%*.
