This young, dynamic lady who hails from Kuching attributes this to the fact that the oil and gas industry has always been a prominent part in Sarawak, and is one that is exciting, challenging and rewarding.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EUpon graduating from Curtin University of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Emily kickstarted her career as a Wireline Field Engineer with Schlumberger, where she was responsible for logging open-hole wells on land rigs to collect geological information and perform formation testing to assess well’s characteristics and potential for production. She then took on the role of Project Engineer with Petronas in 2019, where she led multidisciplinary teams and external contractors in facility improvements projects, prior to joining Shell MDS Malaysia in Bintulu as a project engineer.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EEmily is responsible in ensuring safe and efficient project delivery through detailed project planning and design, budget and schedule control, safe execution, team management and collaboration with internal and external teams, which includes making sure that all aspects of the project meet Shell standards and local regulations to ensure smooth handover from project to asset. Hence for Emily, there is no role that a woman cannot take on and women must believe that they can excel in a technical/engineering field as much as anyone else can.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EEmily got married recently and is currently enjoying this exciting new chapter with her husband.
