The HR Services team is the first point of contact for Shell employees, line managers and business partners in matters covering a broad range of Human Resource processes (including payroll). Our duties include a broad spectrum of activities, which includes but not limited to, providing information on HR policies and processes for local and international staff, Payroll matters, HR organisational management, HR information management and HR reporting, HR knowledge management, Resourcing and talent acquisition and learning.

We provide value to Shell by delivering services which focus on great Employee Experience and more impact to the business. The HR Services KL team supports our local and international employees based in more than 25 countries which includes Joint Ventures. This spreads across Middle East, Asia Pacific and Oceania. We also provide local languages support such as Mandarin, Arabic and Thailand.

Finance Operations is one of the largest and most progressive branded captive finance operations organisation in the world. We consist of over 6,400 staff, which is more than half of the overall finance function in Shell. We are an organisation which provides process discipline and mastery to Shell entities across the globe in general, and more specifically focused in Asia. We offer a broad range of finance roles in the various processes which includes:

Revenue: The management of incoming funds from external and internal parties, through credit management, debt management, cash posting as well as transfer pricing. We process over a trillion worth of incoming receipts per year.

Expenditure: The management of accounts payables, travel & entertainment expenses as well as global corporate credit cards. We handle over billions worth of spend a year.

Reporting & Analysis: Financial management and group/local reporting, business planning and appraisal. We perform accounting for billions of capital expenditure, and reconcile trillions of assets and liabilities.

Hydrocarbon: Managing trading settlements and hydrocarbon inventory

Tax: Direct and Indirect tax management and reporting

Other areas within the Finance Operation includes Governance, risk and assurance as well as Continuous Improvement.

Customer Operations is the umbrella organization for the Downstream customer-related processes, which encompasses the entire chain of customer-facing activities. We partner with more than a dozen Downstream businesses and functions, including Lubricants, Marine, Aviation, Specialties, Retail, Commercial Fleet, Supply Chain, Order to Delivery, Finance Operations and Credit.

Commercial Fleet

Commercial Fleet is a B2B business within Retail focusing on selling fuels and services via the euro/Shell Card. Commercial Fleet delivers 20% of Retail’s overall fuel volume.

Retail

Retail has half a million-people representing the Shell brand on approximately 43,000 retail sites in more than 80 countries.

Lubricants

Shell makes and sells Lubricants across a range of sectors, which encompass Consumer (passenger car motor oils), Transport (heavy-duty engine oils for 18-wheelers and other heavy-duty vehicles) and Industry (greases for industrial applications).

Supply Chain or our Order to Delivery Department plans our fuel supplies, supports customers and drivers on a day to day basis. Our employees help manage an important part of the global Shell fleet, which has nearly 3,000 trucks that travel more than 1.1 million kilometers each day whilst ensuring the highest safety standards. Shell owns 150 distribution properties and over 1,600 storage tanks in about 35 countries.

Contracting & Procurement is a highly empowered team aiming to deliver end to end Business Value, enabled by simple & digitized operations. Our responsibilities include managing thousands of contracts, millions of invoices and cooperating with more than 10,000 contractors.

Legal Services Global Operations consists of a collaborative team of specialists providing legal expertise to protect Shell’s reputation and business. Lawyers at Shell provide essential advice and support which contributes to, and enhances business decisions and continuity.
