Be A Positive Force For Change
This is the motto Norizah Othman stands by.

The General Manager of Projects for Upstream Malaysia has always believed that perseverance and self-confidence are key in shaping one’s successful pathway in life.
Sandakan born Norizah kickstarted her career in Shell as a Shell scholar. Upon completing her tertiary education, she worked for a short time with a local company before joining Shell in 1997. Norizah started in Shell as a Process Engineer working on field development, where she worked on tender and managed the fabrication delivery for offshore fields. She rose through the ranks and was subsequently appointed the first female fabrication and offshore construction lead for Shell Malaysia Upstream.
Today, Norizah leads more than 250 staff while overseeing the safe, competitive, and efficient implementation of all Shell Malaysia Upstream projects. Her job responsibilities range from sustaining a strong Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) leadership culture to developing personnel for exceptional project delivery and building trustworthy relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
Additionally, she is also the President of the Shell Women's Action Network (SWAN), whose main goal is to influence the development of an inclusive environment in which women are empowered to reach their full potential.
