Demonstrating commitment to help the world meet growing energy needs responsibly

A public event celebrating ideas and innovation, the best up-and-coming engineers, designers and inventors, and cutting-edge thinking about energy and mobility, Shell Eco-marathon Asia is a visible demonstration of Shell’s commitment to help the world meet its growing energy needs in a responsible way by working together with students, partners and other stakeholders.

Running alongside Shell Eco-marathon Asia, this year also marks the third edition of the Shell Powering Progress Together Forum in Manila, where more than 250 thought leaders from business, government and civil society around Asia Pacific gather to discuss challenges and potential solutions surrounding global energy, water and food resources. Building on a discussion on the energy-water-food stress nexus in 2014, and resilience in an urbanising world in 2015, this year’s forum will focus on “Collaboration for a Sustainable Future”. The Shell Powering Progress Together Forum 2016 will showcase and celebrate concrete examples of multi-sector collaborative action towards a more resilient and sustainable future.

Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2016 will also feature the newly introduced Energy Zone, an attraction that allows visitors to experience a captivating and educational adventure into the future of energy, cities and sustainability. A live fan zone will allow visitors to get close to the track, learn more about the challenge and grab a bite to eat.
