Packshot of Shell Rimula R6 LM

Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30, extended oil-drain interval, better engine wear protection and improved fuel economy.

Billed as Shell’s most advanced fully synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oil to date. It complies with the European ACEA E6 and ACEA E9 specifications and manufacturers’ approvals for use in ultra-modern diesel engines that meet with Euro 4 to Euro 6 emission standards.

You need the engines of your trucks to work reliably and efficiently, whether in long-haul operations or the severe start–stop driving conditions of short-haul operations. You also want to protect the performance of your exhaust emission control systems to ensure that your vehicles comply with legislative requirements. When your engine oil is designed to meet these challenges, it can help you to extend oil-drain intervals, reduce fuel costs and cut maintenance costs.

High Performance

Shell Rimula Ultra features low sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur (SAPS) additive technology and a unique antiwear system. Its protective power is enhanced by synthetic technology that delivers superior protection for engines1, extended oil life2 and increased fuel economy.3 It is suitable for Euro 4, 5 and 6 vehicles.

Low Emissions

  • Low-SAPS formulation for exhaust system catalyst protection
  • Designed to reduce diesel particulate filter blocking4

Maintenance Saving

  • Up to 56% better engine wear protection1
  • Exceeds ACEA, MAN and Mercedes-Benz specifications for wear and cleanliness

Fuel Economy

  • Up to 2.0% fuel economy2

Excellent wear protection

  • Engine wear protection achieved through anti‑wear additives, designed to form protective films in metal-to-metal contact
  • Incorporates soot dispersant additives to keep particles finely dispersed and to help prevent soot-induced wear

Dynamic Protection Plus Technology

Dynamic Protection Plus Technology is a unique combination of Adaptive Additive Technology and Shell PurePlus Technology, a gas-to-liquids synthetic base oil, which is produced by a process that converts natural gas into a crystal clear product
