#ShellSelamatSampai has reached up to 70,000 youths and continuing building a strong partnership with key government authorities like Road Safety Department (JKJR), Road Transport Department (JPJ), Ministry of Education, and Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). Through #ShellSelamatSampai School Challenge programme, impactful road safety initiatives ranging from traffic management systems to alleviate traffic congestion up to road safety mobile applications that instils the safety-first mentality in ensuring well-being and safety on the road, have been implemented and benefited the surrounding communities. To date, 75 secondary schools nationwide have participated in this national-level competition.

In #ShellSelamatSampai Varsity Challenge programme, an inter-varsity road safety innovation competition, varsity students own up to the challenge in developing exciting road safety innovation prototypes. The programme has discovered road safety innovations that reduces road accident risks in overtaking situations, mitigating distracted driving and heighten visibility of motorcycle riders and using agriculture wastes to improve existing road structures. With the collaboration with the Higher Education Department, #ShellSelamatSampai Varsity Challenge has now expanded to all 20 public universities and 6 technical-based private universities nationwide.

In line with the new normal, #ShellSelamatSampai is going digital in continuing our road safety awareness. Do follow us on Facebook and look out for #ShellSelamatSampai postings.
