Zahira Zaharudin firmly believes that her passion has paved her fulfilling career.

A dynamic Sabahan hailing from Kota Kinabalu, this construction project engineer started her career with Shell in 2015 through the Shell Graduate Programme after completing her Petroleum Engineering degree. Upon completing the programme, Zahira became a project engineer in the Maintenance Project department. She completed numerous complex projects for onshore and offshore assets in Sabah and Labuan.

Zahira then moved on as project engineer for the Gorek development, where she efficiently handled contracts and guided the procurement team to ensure timely fabrication delivery. Zahira's most recent role saw her as a project engineer for Timi, Shell's first wellhead platform in Malaysia powered by a solar and wind hybrid power system. She spearheaded the project from its initial design phase to its first gas date, demonstrating her proficiency in overseeing intricate projects with her commitment towards promoting cleaner energy solutions in the energy industry.

Zahira attributes her achievements to her unwavering passion for her work. This was made even more evident when she received the Emerging Leader Award at the recent Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) 2024, The award recognises young professionals who are making key contributions to the energy sector.

Zahira is happily married to Shafiq Noordin and is a proud mother to her son Rumi Ali.
