The modern workplace is dynamic and technology has changed how and where we can work. This means you can respond to family and personal circumstances by, for instance, working part time, working from home or other options, such as job sharing (in which two or more part time employees share one full time position) or flexible start and finish times are also available. We offer flexibility of where you work, balanced with deliverables required for the role and Shell’s duty of care, as well as maintaining the relationship between you and your team.
Work flexibility is deeply embedded into our culture; leaders are encouraged to talk to employees about the flexible working practices that are available. In providing a better working environment, some of our offices are equipped with a mother’s room and childcare centre; supporting our aim to make Shell a great place to work.
Various leave options available to you
We offer market aligned levels of annual leave entitlements. We also accommodate career breaks and sabbaticals wherever feasible. In addition, employees are encouraged to step outside of purely work boundaries to participate in other areas of interest such as social responsibility projects, employee interest groups or campus recruitment, which offers the chance to meet with university students.
Depending on your work location Shell has a variety of leave options available to our employees, from parental leave, to personal leave, leave without pay, sporting or volunteering leave to long service leave and compassionate leave.
