Johor Bahru’s Shell FuelSave Champion Clocks in 22.3km on 1 Litre of Shell FuelSave Petrol
The two-day event, hosted at the Nimihaz Enterprise, Taman Desa Tebraum, Johor Bahru, was the second last pit stop of the Challenge. More than 1000 Malaysian motorists registered to join this leg of the competition that challenged how far ordinary Malaysians can travel further using only 1 litre of Shell FuelSave Unleaded petrol.
“The Shell 1 Litre Challenge has been very well supported in so doing, exceeding our initial expectations. The overwhelming positive responses received to take up Shell’s 1 Litre Challenge, further testifies that more and more ordinary Malaysian motorists are encouraged to adapt their driving style to become more fuel efficient and savvy drivers. That is something that we, at Shell, are extremely pleased about”, said Mr Jeffery Maran, Regional Retail Manager, South, Shell Malaysia.
“At Shell we believe that not all fuels are the same and in line with this, we have made it an integral part of our business to continuously invest in research and development to ensure that our customers benefit from the latest breakthroughs in fuel technology,” he added.
According to Shell’s FuelSave Johor State Winner Mr Lai, “Like many of my friends and family members, I did not realise that the choice of fuel plays a role in how a car performs as well as one’s driving performance. With the rising cost of fuel and other living expenses, it is important that we practice efficient and sensible spending habits. As a Shell driver, I am glad that they have taken the initiative to help us not only be more aware of our driving habits but to also offer motorists a fuel option that allows us to save up to one litre of fuel per full tank. I joined the Challenge as a personal test and I am pleased that I was able to travel further than any of the other 11 Johor State Finalists using only 1 Litre of Shell FuelSave.”
