Shell Malaysia Appoints A New Chairman
As Chairman, Encik Anuar will lead Shell Malaysia's Business Council in shaping the Company for further growth in Malaysia and in maintaining and strengthening Shell's relationships with various stakeholders.
Encik Anuar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, USA and a MBA in International Management from the RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He joined Shell Malaysia in 1990 as a Wellsite Drilling Engineer based in Miri. He then served in various capacities in drilling & completion, deepwater projects, project accounting, commercial project evaluation, acquisition and divestment and contracts & procurement in Miri, Kuala Lumpur and New Orleans.
In 2006, Encik Anuar was appointed the Regional Wells Manager for Shell Exploration & Production Asia Pacific. In September 2009, he became Vice President Malaysia for Shell Upstream International Asia and Managing Director for Sarawak Shell Berhad/Sabah Shell Petroleum Company.
Encik Anuar will be the fourth Malaysian to be Chairman of Shell Malaysia. He is married with four children.
