Azman Ismail, Managing Director and Ruben Emir Gnanalingam, Executive Director represented SMT and WMSB respectively at the signing ceremony, while Anuar Taib, Shell Malaysia’s Chairman and Dato’ Lee Hwa Beng, Chairman of Port Klang Authority witnessed the signing.

Commenting on the agreement, Azman said: “Shell believes that investing in fast growing eastern markets is crucial to business success. This strategically located terminal will enhance Shell Malaysia’s capability in meeting the growing demand for fuels and strengthen our position as the petroleum retail market leader in Malaysia.”

Shell currently caters to one-third of Peninsular Malaysia and half of East Malaysia's petroleum retail market requirements, serving over half a million customers daily at our more than 900 retail sites nationwide.

The terminal spans 25 acres and includes access to Westports’ jetty that is medium range/long range vessel capable, cargo lines, fuel and chemical tanks and gantry facilities.
