Update 3: Tanker Train Collision in Kota Kinabalu

Following the tanker-train collision on Monday 31 October, Shell Timur Sdn Bhd has commenced its own investigation into the root cause of the incident.
The owners of the tanker company and their driver are also cooperating fully with the Police in their investigations into the accident. Shell remains in constant contact with the relevant authorities and are ready to render any assistance necessary.
We understand that three injured train passengers remain warded at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. We are following their recovery closely.
The clean-up operations at the accident site is on-going. The emergency response team continues to work with the Department of Environment and all other relevant authorities on the situation.
The Shell station adjacent to the incident site remains closed until further notice.
