Shell Malaysia Showcases Energy Solutions To Help Maximise Operating Efficiency

Against the backdrop of increased global demand for energy, and increasing pressure on cities and high-density urban areas to reduce congestion and improve air quality; public transport operators and industrial customers can play a key role in responding to the energy challenge.

Azman Ismail, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd said, “Shell believes fuel and lubricant and fuel technology remain essential in offering intelligent solutions to meet the global energy challenge. Shell refers to this as ‘Smarter Mobility’."

Smarter use includes the development and use of fuels or energy solutions such as our Shell EnergySave service which Shell has developed to help industrial customers measure and optimise the energy consumption of their production facilities and achieve savings in energy spend.

Shell’s innovative energy solutions can help the transportation and industrial customers use less, and hence emit less. Shell is constantly finding innovative ways to move more people and goods safely, cost effectively while helping to reduce impacts on the environment.

“Products such as Shell Diesel with Fuel Economy formula and Shell Fuel Oil Plus are advanced oil products and such technology innovations and support services; these can contribute to speeding up the global shift to cleaner and more energy-efficient operations in Malaysia”, said Azman at Shell Malaysia Energy Innovations for Efficient Operation seminar in Kuala Lumpur recently.

With its business solutions Shell can meet customers’ more complex energy needs while helping major manufacturing companies optimise their energy consumption and deliver savings in energy spend.

150 participants from the Malaysian transport industry and industrial customers attended the half day seminar.

Azman concluded: ”We believe that close collaboration and relationships like these underline very clearly the potential of a co-engineering approach to deliver tangible benefits in fuel efficiency. This is helping to deliver against new legislation coming into place across the world demanding major reductions in the local CO2 emissions.”

This is our differentiated fuel oil solution for the entire boiler system. It is designed to help improve fuels efficiency by up to 3%*** and lower particulate emission and black smoke by up to 70%*** as compared to standard fuel oil.

*Internal Shell tests in heavy-duty engines used in road transport vehicles have shown fuel savings of up to 3% compared to regular diesel without fuel economy formula
